the world?'. Rejecting the well-trodden paths of a discipline focused solely on
artefacts, Matali Crasset has invented a unique approach rooted in local communities
and their inhabitants that is decidedly anthropological. In questo libro, la designer francese offre risposte a una domanda cruciale del nostro tempo: "Come abitiamo il mondo?". Rifiutando i luoghi comuni di una disciplina dell'oggetto, Matali Crasset inventa un approccio singolare, ancorato agli ambienti, vicino agli abitanti, risolutamente antropologico. À la croisée d’une pratique artistique, écologique et sociale, son design passe d’une réflexion sur les utopies nécessaires à la réinvention de communautés en passant de l’habitat individuel aux formes collectives de l’être ensemble, des territoires urbains aux territoires ruraux, des hommes et des femmes qui les font aux espèces qui les engendrent et de la cohabitation nécessaire entre toutes et tous pour le vivant. At the crossroads of artistic, ecological, and social practices, her design work ranges from reflections on necessary utopias to the reinvention of communities, covering everything from individual houses and collective forms of living to urban/rural territories, the men and women who inhabit them, the species they engender, and the mutual coexistence required for everybody’s sake.
