Présentée jusqu'au 15 novembre 2025, l'exposition monographique d'Anselm Kiefer réunit 21 aquarelles réalisées par l'artiste allemand sur plusieurs décennies, retraçant ses débuts et son parcours jusqu'à nos jours. Les motifs représentés s'entremêlent à l'histoire allemande récente, aux chansons, légendes et mythes, à la littérature romantique et aux questions philosophiques.

The monographic exhibition on Anselm Kiefer, running until 15^th November, 2025, brings together 21 watercolours created by the German artist over several decades, tracing the artist’s career from his earliest to his latest works. His artistic leit-motifs intertwine with recent German history, including songs, legends/myths, romantic literature and  philosophical topics.

La monografica di Anselm Kiefer, in corso fino al 15 novembre 2025, riunisce 21 acquerelli realizzati dall'artista tedesco in diversi decenni ripercorrendo gli esordi dell'artista e il suo percorso verso il presente. I motivi raffigurati si intrecciano con la storia tedesca recente, con canzoni, leggende e miti, con la letteratura romantica e con questioni filosofiche.

La littérature européenne, de l'Antiquité au Moyen Âge et à l'époque moderne, compte parmi les sources d'inspiration essentielles de l'artiste. Ses paysages conceptuels nous confrontent à la finitude de l'existence humaine, à la menace et à la destruction de l'environnement, à la culpabilité humaine et à l'innocence de la nature.

European literature from antiquity through the Middle Ages and into the modern age is, indeed, one of the artist’s main sources of inspiration. His conceptual landscapes challenge us about the finiteness of human life, the threat to and destruction of the environment, human guilt, and the innocence of nature.

La letteratura europea, dall'antichità al Medioevo, fino all'età moderna, è infatti tra le fonti di ispirazione essenziali dell'artista. I suoi paesaggi concettuali ci mettono di fronte alla finitezza dell'esistenza umana, alla minaccia e alla distruzione dell'ambiente, alla colpa umana e all'innocenza della natura.
