AN INNOVATIVE TRANSPORT HUB

NORMAN FOSTER FOUNDATION AND PORSCHE, GATEWAY TO VENICE'S WATERWAY

Présenté à l'Arsenale, Gateway to Venice's Waterway, conçu par l'équipe de la Fondation Norman Foster et Porsche, est le hub de transport innovant qui explore la mobilité future à Venise et au-delà. Cette structure de 37 mètres de long, au design biomorphique, est une manifestation physique de l'intersection entre design et architecture.

“Gateway to Venice's Waterway” designed by a joint team from the Norman Foster Foundation and Porsche is an innovative transport hub presented at the Arsenale, which  explores future mobility in Venice and beyond. The 37-metre long structure with its biomorphic design is a physical embodiment of a combination of design and architecture.

Gateway to Venice's Waterway firmato team della Fondazione Norman Foster e Porsche è l’innovativo hub di trasporto presentato all’Arsenale che esplora la mobilità futura a Venezia e oltre. La struttura lunga 37 metri dal design biomorfo, è una manifestazione fisica dell'intersezione tra design e architettura.

 
Le design et la construction de la structure extérieure s'inspirent de la technologie légère utilisée dans les voitures de course comme la Porsche 917, associant une structure solide en aluminium (châssis) à une surface cinétique inspirée du modèle Kubus de Porsche.

The design and construction of the exterior structure are based on the kind of lightweight technology used for racing cars like the Porsche 917, which combines a solid aluminium structure (chassis) with a kinetic surface inspired by Porsche's iconic Kubus design.

 

Il design e la realizzazione della struttura esterna derivano dalla tecnologia leggera impiegata nelle auto da corsa come la Porsche 917, che unisce una solida struttura in alluminio (telaio) a una superficie cinetica ispirata al modello Kubus di Porsche.

Fonctionnant à la fois comme un passage fonctionnel et un pont, le hub interagit activement avec les nouvelles solutions de transport électrique, aquatiques et terrestres. Parmi celles-ci figurent des vélos aquatiques (vélos Schiller) et des bateaux à moteur électrique (bateaux Frauscher x Porsche 850 Fantom Air, utilisant une adaptation du moteur Porsche Macan), qui étaient opérationnels comme solutions de mobilité zéro émission lors des journées de préouverture de la manifestation.

Acting as both a passageway and bridge, the hub actively interacts with new forms of electric transport, both land and water. They include water bikes (Schiller bikes) and electrically powered speedboats (Frauscher x Porsche 850 Fantom Air boats, drawing on an adaptation of the Porsche Macan engine) that were fully operational as zero-emission forms of transport during the pre-opening days of the event.

Funzionando sia come passaggio funzionale che come ponte, l'hub interagisce attivamente con le nuove soluzioni di trasporto elettrico, sia acquatiche che terrestri. Tra questi, le biciclette d'acqua (Schiller bikes) e i motoscafi a propulsione elettrica (imbarcazioni Frauscher x Porsche 850 Fantom Air, che utilizzano un adattamento del motore della Porsche Macan) che erano operativi come soluzioni di mobilità a zero emissioni durante le giornate di pre-apertura della manifestazione.

Le projet qui réunit l'architecte Norman Foster et l'équipe de la Fondation Norman Foster avec les designers de Porsche explore les différents aspects de la mobilité : des véhicules individuels aux infrastructures, en développant le motif des rêves et le thème de la Biennale de Carlo Ratti "Intelligents. Naturel. Artificiel. Collectif".

The project, which brings together the architect Norman Foster, the Norman Foster Foundation team and Porsche designers, investigates various aspects of mobility: from individual vehicles to infrastructure, inspired by the notion of dreaming and the main theme of Carlo Ratti's biennial: “Intelligens. Natural. Artificial. Collective”.

Il progetto che riunisce l'architetto Norman Foster e il team della Norman Foster Foundation insieme ai designer di Porsche indaga i vari aspetti  della mobilità: dai veicoli individuali alle infrastrutture, sviluppando il motivo dei sogni e il tema della Biennale di Carlo Ratti “Intelligens. Natural. Artificial. Collective”.
