GAETANO PESCE, THE CHIAT\DAY NEW YORK PROJECT

Pulp Galerie, galerie fondée en 2022 par Paul Ménacer-Poussin et Paul-Louis Betto, présente jusqu’au 30 mai 2026 un ensemble exceptionnel issu des bureaux de l’agence Chiat\Day, réalisés par Gaetano Pesce en 1994 à New York.

Pulp Galerie, galleria fondata nel 2022 da Paul Ménacer-Poussin e Paul-Louis Betto, presenta fino al 30 maggio 2026 una collezione eccezionale proveniente dagli uffici dell'agenzia Chiat\Day, creata da Gaetano Pesce nel 1994 a New York.

Pensés par Gaetano Pesce et Jay Chiat comme des espaces ouverts, fluides et sans hiérarchie apparente, les bureaux rompent avec la logique du poste fixe et de la standardisation. Ici, le lieu de travail se rapproche de l’espace domestique : on y circule librement, on s’y installe, on s’y déplace selon ses besoins et ses envies.

Conceived by Gaetano Pesce and Jay Chiat as open, fluid spaces with no apparent hierarchy, the offices break away from the logic of fixed workstations and standardization. Here, the workplace comes closer to the domestic sphere: one moves freely, settles in, and shifts according to needs and desires.

Progettati da Gaetano Pesce e Jay Chiat come spazi aperti e fluidi, privi di gerarchie apparenti, gli uffici rompono con la logica delle postazioni di lavoro fisse e della standardizzazione. Qui, il luogo di lavoro assomiglia allo spazio domestico: ci si muove liberamente, ci si sistema e ci si sposta a seconda delle proprie esigenze e dei propri desideri.

Détruits en 1998, les bureaux de Chiat\Day constituent une perte majeure pour le patrimoine architectural. Cette exposition, projette collectionneurs et visiteurs au trente-huitième étage d’un gratte-ciel de l’Upper East Side, au cœur de l’univers joueur et novateur de Gaetano Pesce. Chacune des œuvres exposées conserve les traces de son usage passé, façonné par le quotidien des créatifs et des équipes de l’agence de publicité la plus emblématique du New York des années 1990.

Destroyed in 1998, the Chiat\Day offices represent a major loss to architectural heritage. This exhibition, transports collectors and visitors to the thirty-eighth floor of a skyscraper on the Upper East Side, at the heart of Gaetano Pesce’s playful and innovative universe. Each of the works on display retains traces of its past use, shaped by the daily lives of the creatives and teams of the most emblematic advertising agency of 1990s New York.

Distrutti nel 1998, gli uffici di Chiat\Day rappresentano una grave perdita per il patrimonio architettonico. Questa mostra trasporta collezionisti e visitatori al trentottesimo piano di un grattacielo dell'Upper East Side, nell’universo ludico e innovativo di Gaetano Pesce. Ciascuna delle opere esposte conserva tracce del vecchio utilizzo, plasmate dalla vita quotidiana dei creativi e dei collaboratori dell'agenzia pubblicitaria più iconica della New York degli anni '90.
