A la Fondation Louis Vuitton, David Hockney, l’un des artistes les plus influents des XXe et XXIe siècles, investit l’ensemble des espaces d’exposition. Cette présentation, en cours jusqu’au 31 août 2025, rassemble plus de 400 œuvres de 1955 à 2025, outre un fonds majeur provenant de l’atelier de l’artiste et de sa fondation, des prêts de collections internationales, institutionnelles ou privées.

The works of David Hockney, one of the most influential artists of the 20^th and 21^st  centuries, are the focus of an exhibition running until 31^st August 2025 at the Fondation Louis Vuitton in Paris. The exhibition brings together over 400 works from 1955-2025, as well as an important collection from the artist's studio and foundation, and loans from international, institutional and private collections.

Le opere di David Hockney, uno degli artisti più influenti del XX e XXI secolo, sono al centro della mostra in corso fino al 31 agosto 2025 alla Fondation Louis Vuitton di Parigi. La rassegna riunisce oltre 400 opere dal 1955 al 2025, oltre a un'importante collezione proveniente dallo studio dell'artista e dalla sua fondazione, e prestiti da collezioni internazionali, istituzionali e private.

L’exposition, réunit des créations réalisées avec les techniques les plus variées – des peintures à l’huile ou à l’acrylique, des dessins à l’encre, au crayon et au fusain, mais aussi des œuvres numériques (dessins photographiques, à l’ordinateur, sur iPhone et sur iPad) et des installations vidéo.

The exhibition brings together works created using a wide variety of techniques - oil and acrylic paintings, ink, pencil and charcoal drawings - as well as digital works (photographic, computer, iPhone and iPad drawings) and video installations.

La mostra riunisce opere realizzate con un'ampia diversità di tecniche – dipinti a olio e acrilico, disegni a inchiostro, a matita e a carboncino – oltre a opere digitali (disegni fotografici, al computer, con iPhone e iPad) e videoinstallazioni.

David Hockney a lui-même choisi, en collaboration avec son compagnon et studio manager, Jean-Pierre Gonçalves de Lima, de centrer l’exposition sur les vingt-cinq dernières années de son œuvre sans omettre les œuvres « mythiques » de ses débuts, proposant ainsi une immersion dans son univers.

In conjunction with his partner and studio manager, Jean-Pierre Gonçalves de Lima,  David Hockney himself decided to focus the exhibition on the last twenty-five years of his artistic career, without overlooking those “legendary” works from his early days, to provide a comprehensive overview of his art world.

David Hockney stesso, in collaborazione con il suo socio e direttore dello studio, Jean-Pierre Gonçalves de Lima, ha scelto di concentrare la mostra sugli ultimi venticinque anni del suo percorso artistico, senza tralasciare le opere "leggendarie" dei suoi esordi, offrendo così un'immersione completa nel suo universo.
