Fondation Folon présente au Musée de La Hupe deux expositions exceptionnelles consacrées à l’architecte Kengo Kuma et au mangaka Jirō Taniguchi. Du 18 avril au 13 septembre 2026 « Kengo Kuma : Architecture in Dialogue » mettra en lumière des œuvres de Kengo Kuma (Kanazawa 1954), en résonance avec des réflexions et thèmes chers à Jean-Michel Folon : la condition humaine, les défis de la vie moderne et l’espoir d’un avenir plus harmonieux.
The Folon Foundation will be displaying two particularly interesting exhibitions at the Musée de La Hupe in Belgium focused on the architect Kengo Kuma and comic artist Jirō Taniguchi. From 18th April-13th September 2026, "Kengo Kuma: Architecture in Dialogue" will showcase the works of Kengo Kuma (Kanazawa, 1954) in line with thoughts and themes inspired by Jean-Michel Folon: the human condition, the challenges of modern life, and the hope for a more harmonious future.
la Fondazione Folon presenta due mostre particolarmente interessanti al Musée de La Hupe, in Belgio, dedicate all'architetto Kengo Kuma e al fumettista Jirō Taniguchi. Dal 18 aprile al 13 settembre 2026, "Kengo Kuma: Architecture in Dialogue" metterà in luce le opere di Kengo Kuma (Kanazawa, 1954), in sintonia con riflessioni e temi cari a Jean-Michel Folon: la condizione umana, le sfide della vita moderna e la speranza di un futuro più armonioso.

L’architecture de Kuma explore de manière singulière la légèreté, la douceur, la nature et la géométrie en concevant des bâtiments qui se fondent dans leur environnement et rétablissent le lien entre les êtres et le monde qui les entoure. L’exposition sera introduite par une conférence de Kengo Kuma à l’Université Libre de Bruxelles, Campus du Solbosch, le jeudi 16 avril 2026 à 19h00.
Kuma's architecture uniquely explores lightness, delicacy, nature and geometry through buildings that fit into their surroundings and restore the connection between people and the world around them. The exhibition will be presented at a talk given by Kengo Kuma at the Université Libre de Bruxelles, Solbosch Campus, on Thursday 16th April 2026 at 19:00.
L'architettura di Kuma esplora in modo unico leggerezza, delicatezza, natura e geometria, attravreso edifici che si integrano nell'ambiente circostante e ristabiliscono il legame tra le persone e il mondo che le circonda. La mostra sarà introdotta da una conferenza di Kengo Kuma presso l'Université Libre de Bruxelles, Campus di Solbosch, giovedì 16 aprile 2026, alle ore 19:00.

Du 17 octobre 2026 au 14 février 2027, l’exposition dédiée à Jirō TANIGUCHI (ToSori, 1947 – Tokyo, 2017), figure singulière à la croisée de la bande dessinée et du manga, mettra en lumière la richesse et la diversité de l’œuvre de l’artiste à travers une sélection d’esquisses, de storyboards et de planches originales.
From 17th October 2026 to 14th February 2027, an exhibition dedicated to Jirō TANIGUCHI (Tosori, 1947 – Tokyo, 2017), a unique figure working on the cusp between cartoons and manga, will showcase the richness and variety of the artist's work through a selection of sketches, storyboards and original panels.
Dal 17 ottobre 2026 al 14 febbraio 2027, la mostra dedicata a Jirō TANIGUCHI (ToSori, 1947 – Tokyo, 2017), figura unica al crocevia tra fumetto e manga, metterà in luce la ricchezza e la diversità dell'opera dell'artista attraverso una selezione di schizzi, storyboard e tavole originali.
