L'artiste Céleste Boursier-Mougenot (Nice, 1961) s'empare de la Rotonde de la Bourse de Commerce avec son installation multisensorielle intitulée « clinamen », présentée dans un format d'une ampleur inédite, en résonance avec l'architecture du lieu.
The artist Céleste Boursier- Mougenot (Nice, 1961) is taking over the Rotunda of the Bourse de Commerce with his multisensorial installation "clinamen", which is being shown at an unprecedented scale, in resonance with the architecture of this site.
L'artista Céleste Boursier-Mougenot (Nizza, 1961) presenta nella Rotonda della Bourse de Commerce l’installazione multisensoriale intitolata "clinamen", realizzata a grande scala, in risonanza con l'architettura del luogo.
Un bassin de 18 mètres de
diamètre rempli d’eau reflète le ciel à travers la coupole du musée. Sur cette
étendue bleutée, des bols en porcelaine blanche, mis en mouvement par un léger
courant, génèrent des sons mélodieux et incantatoires. Ces vibrations acoustiques, créées sans l’intervention d’un interprète, sont le cœur de l’œuvre, une véritable symphonie de
l’instant, évoluant au gré de vagues invisibles.
A basin 18 meters in diameter filled with water reflects the sky seen through the museum’s dome. White ceramic bowls float across this blue surface, generating melodious, enchanting sounds as a light current pushes them along. These acoustic vibrations, free of any intervention by a performer, constitute the very heart of the piece, a veritable symphony of the moment that evolves with a flow of invisible waves.
Un bacino di 18 metri di diametro pieno d'acqua riflette il cielo attraverso la cupola del museo. Su questa distesa blu, ciotole di porcellana bianca, mosse da una lieve corrente, generano una melodia di suoni delicati. Queste vibrazioni acustiche, create senza l'intervento di un performer, sono al centro dell'opera, una vera e propria sinfonia del momento, che si evolve con onde invisibili.
