From globalisation to tribalisation

 

Last century is now behind us, we are well into the new millennium and the entire world, which in the 1960s seemed to be on the right track in terms of economic and cultural growth even as regards those nations that had been excluded from the great feast of worldwide industrial development, seems to be struggling again. The same applies to architecture, which had started to become industrialised and seriously tackle the demographic boom on certain continents, generating and studying new kinds of urbanisation and possible types of new cities. Brasilia is emblematic in this respect. But in the end, miscellaneous geopolitical events and the usual financial selfishness seem to have resulted in our focusing solely on globalisation: everybody against everybody. The lowest price always wins.
