I am optimistic

The world’s population is expected to rise by two billion increasing from the current figure of 7.7 billion to 9.7 billion by 2050 before hitting a high of almost 11 billion by the end of the century. And I can assure you that, for somebody like me who witnessed the transition from one millennium to the next, the end of the century is not far off.
