Sir Peter Frederic Chester Cook (1936, Southend-on-Sea in Essex). ph. Paul McLaughlin. English architect, teacher and writer about architecture. While working in the office of James Cubitt and Partners he met David Greene, and, beginning in 1960, they produced the first of nine issues of the magazine Archigram. An ARCHIGRAM group was formed with other recently graduated young architects, including Warren Chalk, Dennis Crompton, Ron Herron and Mike Webb, who came together after Cook had joined the Taylor Woodrow Design Office in 1962.

Peter Cook  Colin Fournier, Kunsthaus Graz, 2003. Though Cook gained significant international recognition for his unbuilt works with Archigram, he has now also been recognized for his built works around the world. His recent works, including the construction of his Art Museum in Graz, Austria (Kunsthaus) has brought his radical ideas to a wider public audience. He currently practices with Gavin Robotham as part of CRAB Studio (Cook Robotham Architectural Bureau).
