The American architect Paul Marvin Rudolph  (October 23, 1918 – August 8, 1997) is best known for his large-scale, rough surfaced concrete buildings of the 1960s, but also as one of the best architectural designers. His architecture, is one of the most complete expressions of the humanistic and often heroic ambitions of post war American architecture.
