Monographs N° 11
Based on a presentation over 30 completed buildings, this book documents the busy design activity of Korean architect Kim Seunghoy, founder of KYWC Architects. The title, Searching for Life Form. The Order of Fragment, summarises the firm's methodological and creative approach, which, as Kim Seunghoy himself notes, is based on a perception of architecture as a spatial form that expresses the "relationship between the life of the individual and society”. The projects, divided into seven chapters, touch on different types of buildings sharing the same design language combining the poetics of inhabited space with intricate compositional registers that contribute to the dynamics and links of a type of city designed to be a mosaic of distinctly conceived logical patterns.
