Le projet a son orgine dans l'une des zones d'observation des baleines les plus spectaculaires de Norvège, Andøya. Ici, le global rencontre le local avec une nature à couper le souffle et une lumière nordique. The Wale deviendra une destination unique, avec un musée international sur les baleines et un centre de connaissances qui offriront un aperçu rare du monde des baleines et en même temps contribueront à renforcer la région à la fois culturellement et socialement.
The project has its origin in one of Norway’s spectacular areas for experiencing whale, Andøya. Here the global meets the local with breathtaking nature and Nordic light. The Whale will become a unique destination with an international whale museum and center of knowledge that will offer a rare insight in the universe of the whale and in the same time contribute to strengthen the neighborhood both on a cultural and social level.
Il progetto ha la sua origine in una delle zone più spettacolari della Norvegia per osservare le balene, Andøya. Qui il globale incontra il locale con una natura mozzafiato e la luce nordica. The Whale diventerà una destinazione unica, con un museo internazionale delle balene e un centro di conoscenza che offrirà una rara visione dell’universo delle balene e allo stesso tempo contribuirà a rafforzare l’area a livello sia culturale che sociale.
Le projet reliera la recherche, les connaissances et la culture au grand public et sera inestimable pour enseigner aux enfants et aux adolescents. L'échelle du projet fait référence aux dimensions paysagères du site et la position du bâtiment suit la direction dans le paysage, en partie à la surface de l'eau.
The project will link research, knowledge and culture to the general public and be valuable in teaching for children and young people. The project scale relates to the landscape dimensions of the site, and the location of the building follows the direction in the landscape, partly on the water surface.
Il progetto collegherà ricerca, conoscenza e cultura al grande pubblico e sarà prezioso nell’insegnamento a bambini e ragazzi. La scala del progetto si riferisce alle dimensioni paesaggistiche del sito e la posizione dell’edificio segue la direzione nel paesaggio, in parte sulla superficie dell’acqua.
Une passerelle garantit l'accès du public avec un chemin protégé du climat de l'Est. Le bâtiment se compose de deux étages principaux avec une mezzanine et une zone sous la surface de l'eau. Le bois est le matériau principal du bâtiment intégré au verre comme base et aux structures sous-marines en béton étanche.
A walkway ensures public access by a climate-protected walkway from the east. The building follows the landscape typography and has two main floors with a mezzanine and an area underneath the water surface. Wood is the building’s continuous material supplemented with glass as a base and underwater constructions made of waterproof concrete.
Una passerella garantisce l’accesso del pubblico con un percoso protetto dal clima da est. L’edificio si compone di due piani principali con un soppalco e un’area sottostante il pelo dell’acqua. Il legno è il materiale prevalente nell’edificio integrato con il vetro come basamento e conle strutture sottomarine in cemento impermeabile.
