La création de la Bibliothèque Ibsen vise à augmenter l’implication sociale et la participation démocratique dans la région. Elle veut être une attraction touristique pour la population locale et pour les visiteurs, tant de la région que d’autres parties de la Norvège et de l’étranger.
The establishment of the Ibsen Library is intended to lead to increased social involvement and democratic participation in the region. It aims to provide a visitor attraction for local people as well as visitors from the region, other parts of Norway and abroad.
L’istituzione della Biblioteca Ibsen mira a portare a un maggiore coinvolgimento sociale e partecipazione democratica nella regione. Ha lo scopo di fornire un’attrazione turistica per la popolazione locale e per i visitatori della regione, di altre parti della Norvegia e all’estero.
En reliant le parc adjacent avec la ville, le projet tire parti d’une pente qui traverse le site. L’empreinte curviligne et la façade vitrée prévue par le projet suivent une rangée d’arbres sur le pourtour du parc.
Connecting the existing park nearby with the city, the project utilizes a downward slope that flows through the building site. The design’s curvilinear footprint and glazed facade traces a series of trees along the perimeter of the park.

En même temps, l’organisation crée des liaisons intérieures et extérieures homogènes, sans murs fixes, sur les deux niveaux principaux du projet et des étagères basses qui font fonction de séparations douces.
At the same time, the organization creates seamless indoor and outdoor connections through no fixed walls on the project’s two main levels and low bookshelves acting as soft dividers.
Allo stesso tempo, l’organizzazione crea connessioni interne ed esterne senza soluzione di continuità attraverso nessuna parete fissa sui due livelli principali del progetto e scaffali bassi che fungono da morbidi divisori.
