Un volume complexe qui fascine en évoquant la rouille qui corrode le fer pour marquer le passage du temps, ainsi que par la présence de plans inclinés dont on ne comprend pas trop l’utilité, à part le fait qu’ils reçoivent la lumière.
The overall structural design is intriguing due to the way it looks like rust corroding as a sign of passing time. The only explanation for its sloping levels is, perhaps, the way light seems to slide off them.
Un volume complesso che affascina per il suo rimando alla ruggine che corrode il ferro a memoria del tempo che scorre. La presenza di piani inclinati di cui non si comprende la necessità se non il fatto che su di essi scorre la luce.
Powerbarn couvre environ 280 000 mètres carrés, dont trois zones humides, assainies, rendues à la nature et restituées à la communauté locale. L’usine réalisée par l’agence d’architecture Giovanni Vaccarini Architetti, nous montre une reconversion possible de la zone industrielle autrefois site de la sucrerie Eridania en une usine de production de bioénergie qui produit environ 222 GWh par an, suffisamment pour satisfaire les besoins énergétiques de 84 000 familles, tout en garantissant une réduction importante de l’émission de gaz à effet de serre dans l’atmosphère.
Powerbarn, approximately 280,000 m² of damp reclaimed land, has been restored to nature and the community. A further 167,000 m² of industrial area has been converted to other purposes. The plant designed by Giovanni Vaccarini Architetti shows how the Eridania industrial area could be converted into a bioenergy generation plant producing 220 GWh-a-year and meeting the needs of 84,000 families while ensuring notable reductions in greenhouse gas emissions into the air.
Powerbarn, circa 280.000 m2, identifica tre vaste aree umide bonificate, tornate alla natura e restituite alla comunità. L’impianto, realizzato da Giovanni Vaccarini Architetti, ci mostra una possibile riconversione dell’area industriale dell’Eridania in una centrale di produzione di bioenergia che annualmente raggiunge i 222 GWh, e soddisfa il fabbisogno di 84.000 famiglie, garantendo significativi risparmi nell’immissione di gas serra nell’atmosfera.
À cela s’ajoute une usine de biogaz alimentée par les eaux usées des élevages de bétail et une petite installation photovoltaïque d’environ 1 000 mètres carrés, qui contribuent à la production d’énergie propre.
In addition, there is a biogas plant powered by zootechnical effluents and a small (approximately 1000 m²) photovoltaic plant helping generate clean energy.
