L’agence thaïlandaise Architectkidd a conçu une structure végétalisée pour l'extension d'un centre commercial à Bangkok. Les principales composantes du projet sont des colonnes en acier de 20x20 cm espacées de 1 mètre. Les colonnes sont jointes pour former des trames structurelles qui soutiennent tous les autres systèmes: couloirs, auvents et espaces.
Architectkidd designs a green scaffold for a shopping center extension in Bangkok. The design was conceived less as architecture and more as an open-ended structure to accommodate people and vertical vegetation. The main components of the design are 20x20 cm steel columns that are spaced 1 meter apart. The columns are joined to form structural frames that provide support for all other systems - corridors, canopies and spaces
Architectkidd progetta un'impalcatura verde per l'ampliamento di un centro commerciale a Bangkok. Il progetto è stato concepito meno come architettura e più come una struttura aperta per accogliere persone e vegetazione verticale. I componenti principali del progetto sono colonne in acciaio di 20x20 cm distanziate di 1 metro. Le colonne sono unite per formare telai strutturali che forniscono supporto per tutti gli altri sistemi: corridoi, pensiline e spazi.

Le choix de ce système, permet d'éviter les techniques de construction à grande échelle généralement requises pour les bâtiments commerciaux. Ces modules préfabriqués créent un rythme naturel avec leurs largeurs et hauteurs qui évoluent progressivement sur le site. Le bâtiment comprend un pont surélevé qui relie le centre commercial existant et se prolonge à l'extérieur. La conception et l'utilisation de l'acier ont été informées par l'infrastructure piétonne présente partout à Bangkok.
With the repetitive frames, the goal was to avoid large-scale construction techniques typically needed for commercial buildings. The prefabricated frames create a natural rhythm with their widths and heights gradually changing in a way that ebbs and flows throughout the site. The building features an elevated bridge that connects from within the existing shopping center and extends outside. The design and use of steel were informed by the pedestrian infrastructure found all over Bangkok.
Con i telai ripetitivi, l'obiettivo era quello di evitare tecniche di costruzione su larga scala tipicamente necessarie per gli edifici commerciali. I telai prefabbricati creano un ritmo naturale con le loro larghezze e altezze che cambiano gradualmente in un modo che si alza e scorre in tutto il sito. L'edificio presenta un ponte sopraelevato che si collega dall'interno del centro commerciale esistente e si estende all'esterno. Il design e l'uso dell'acciaio sono stati informati dall'infrastruttura pedonale trovata in tutta Bangkok.
Architectkidd et les ingénieurs structurels Aurecon ont utilisé ces passerelles locales comme un précédent et les ont transformées en une strucure pouvant accueillir des activités et des programmes publics. La conception du paysage à été développée par Landscape Collaboration.
