Le chai des Domaines Ott* au Château de Selle s’affirme comme une ligne d’horizon, un élément tellurique ancré dans la pente au-dessus du Château. Le nouveau bâtiment se caractérise par des façades réalisées en blocs de pierre du Gard, taillés directement dans la carrière, qui s’empilent, se décalent ou se vrillent pour créer des ouvertures et du relief.
The winery of the domaines Ott Château de Selle mark a new horizon a mineral presence anchored in the rolling landscape above the historic Chateau de Selle. The new building in built of solid stone, in blocks staggered and rotated to create openings and views. The stone blocks are one by one metres by fifty centimetres thick, and weigh exactly one metric ton.

Chaque élément mesure un mètre sur cinquante centimètres d'épaisseur et pèse exactement une tonne. Les pierres s’écartant les unes des autres, créant un écran poreux, une matière à l’échelle du paysage.
The stone blocks are one by one metres by fifty centimetres thick, and weigh exactly one metric ton. The blocks are placed at incremental distances, making a porous yet massive screen.
Ogni elemento ha uno spessore di un metro per cinquanta centimetri e pesa esattamente una tonnellata. La disposizione delle pietre in modo sfalsato l'una dall'altra, crea uno schermo poroso, una superficie alla scala del paesaggio.

Le chai est à moitié enterré, pour un processus vinicole naturellement gravitaire et maîtrisé techniquement. Le bâtiment, avec une grande inertie thermique, est en accord physiquement et fonctionnellement avec son environnement.
They rise in equilibrium ten metres high, twist and turn. The walls dilate, filigrees of pure weight in the sun. The building is partially sunk into the hill, a thermally inert emergence optimised for winemaking.
La cantina è semi interrata, per un processo di vinificazione naturalmente gravitazionale e tecnicamente controllato. L'edificio, dotato di grande inerzia termica, è fisicamente e funzionalmente in armonia con l'ambiente circostante.
