Résultat d’une rénovation hors norme par son ampleur et sa complexité, la Samaritaine accueillera dans le premier arrondissement de Paris, sur un site unique en bord de Seine, un Grand magasin de 20 000 m2, le Cheval Blanc Paris - un hôtel de 26 chambres et 46 suites, 15 000 m2 de bureaux, 96 logements sociaux et une crèche. Quinze ans ont été nécessaires pour réhabiliter, reconfigurer et reconstruire un bâtiment protégé au titre des Monuments Historiques, mais obsolète, occupant une emprise comparable à celle de Beaubourg.
Following a renovation project that was extraordinary in both scope and complexity, La Samaritaine will host in the first arrondissement of Paris, on an exceptional location on the banks of the Seine, La Samaritaine Paris Pont-Neuf, a 20,000 m2 department store; Cheval Blanc Paris a hotel with 26 rooms and 46 suites; 15,000 m2 of offices; 96 public housing and a crèche with capacity for 80. It took 15 years to renovate, reconfigure and rebuild an outdated heritage-listed building that covers an area equivalent to the Pompidou Center/Beaubourg.
Frutto di una straordinaria ristrutturazione per ampiezza e complessità, il Samaritaine ospiterà nel primo arrondissement di Parigi, in un sito unico sulle rive della Senna, un grande magazzino di 20.000 m2, lo Cheval Blanc Paris - un hotel di 26 camere e 46 suite, 15.000 mq di uffici, 96 alloggi sociali e un asilo nido. Un progetto monumentale che ha richiesto quindici anni di lavori per riabilitare, riconfigurare e ricostruire un edificio classificato Monumento Storico, ma obsoleto, esteso su una superficie parto a quella del Beaubourg.
Rue de Rivoli, la façade contemporaine de La Samaritaine, conçue par Sanaa, est enveloppée d’une triple peu de verre ondulé garantissant la régulation thermique et les propriétés de résistance au feu du bâtiment.
The rippling glass façade is the outer envelope of a triple glass skin that functions as the Rivoli building’s core and shell, as well as providing its thermal regulation and fire resistance capabilities.
Progettata da Sanaa, a facciata contemporanea de La Samaritaine su rue de Rivoli, è avvolta da una tripla pelle in vetro ondulato che garantisce le proprietà di termoregolazione e resistenza al fuoco dell'edificio.
Cette ondulation irrégulière est composée de 343 panneaux de verre courbés et sérigraphiés de 2,70 m x 3,50 m, pesant de 600 kg à 1250 kg, qui ne reposent que sur deux points d’appui et semblent ainsi tenir en équilibre. Sa réalisation est le résultat de la contribution de plusieurs compétences : Pilkington, float et feuilletage ; Interpane, traitement au chrome ; Cricursa courbure sur mesure des panneaux ; Frener & Reifer, pose des façades en verre.
The outer façade of the building has an irregular undulating form, and comprises 343 curved, screen-printed glass panels measuring 2.7 by 3.5 meters, and weighing between 600 and 1,250 kg. The panels rest on just four support points, giving them the appearance of being balanced in position. The façade is realized by Pilkington (combining laminated float glass), Interpane (chromium treatment), Cricursa (custom-tailored), Frener & Reifer (glass façade installation).
Questa ondulazione irregolare è composta da 343 pannelli di vetro curvati e serigrafati di 2,70 mx 3,50 m, da 600 kg a 1250 kg, che poggiano su due soli punti di sostegno e risultano quindi mantenuti in equilibrio. La sua realizzazione è il risultato del contributo di diverse competenze: Pilkington, float e laminazione; Interpane, trattamento cromo; Cricursa curvatura personalizzata dei pannelli; Frener & Reifer, posa facciate in vetro.
