Cette table s’articule autour de formes géométriques simples : un cylindre de base ronde pour la table ronde, et un cylindre de base ovale pour la table ovale. Revenant au principe du trilithe, le volume des bases est divisé en deux parties distinctes et mets l’accent sur la force constructive reliant les trois éléments.
This table is built around simple geometrical shapes: a round base cylinder for the round table, and an oval base cylinder for the oval table. Returning to the principle of the trilith, the volume of the bases is divided into two distinct parts and emphasizes the constructive force linking the three elements.
Il risultato è una base centrale composta da due gambe, rastremate verso l'alto per ridurre al minimo l'area di intersezione tra le gambe e il piano. Il punto limite strutturale viene così raggiunto, pur consentendo un notevole sbalzo. Inoltre, questa divisione in due parti consente di semplificare il montaggio e facilitare la movimentazione.
Il en résulte une base centrale constituée de deux pieds, fuselée vers le haut pour réduire au minimum la surface d’intersection entre les pieds et le plateau. Le point de limite structurel est ainsi atteint, tout en permettant un porte-à-faux important. Par ailleurs, cette division en deux pièces permet de simplifier le montage et facilite les manipulations.
The result is a central base consisting of two legs, tapered upwards to minimize the area of intersection between the legs and the top. The structural limit point is thus reached, while allowing for a significant overhang. In addition, this division into two parts simplifies assembly and facilitates handling.
Questo tavolo ruota attorno a forme geometriche semplici: un cilindro a base rotonda per il tavolo rotondo e un cilindro a base ovale per il tavolo ovale. Rifacendosi al principio del trilite, il volume delle basi è diviso in due parti distinte e sottolinea la forza costruttiva che collega i tre elementi.
