Peter Pichler Architecture a remporté en 2015 un concours pour la reconstruction complète de l'hôtel Schgaguler à Castelrotto au cœur des Dolomites. Son projet allie tradition et culture locales en les combinant dans un langage contemporain et intemporel.
Peter Pichler Architecture won a competition in 2015 to fully reconstruct the existing “Hotel Schgaguler”, located in Castelrotto, in the heart of the Dolomites. A simple and timeless architectural design is the main protagonist of the charming boutique hotel.
Peter Pichler Architecture ha vinto nel 2015 un concorso per la ricostruzione completa dell'Hotel Schgaguler di Castelrotto nel cuore delle Dolomiti. Il suo progetto coniuga tradizione e cultura locali coniugandoli in un linguaggio contemporaneo e senza tempo.
Le style alpin à l'esthétique épurée crée une authentique sensation de bien-être. Le projet se compose de trois volumes monolithiques, suivant la structure originale du bâtiment avant la reconstruction. Respectant le contexte local, l'identité architecturale marquée de l'hôtel reflète une réinterprétation contemporaine du style alpin et joue avec des éléments vernaculaires tels que le toit en pente typique.
Alpine style with reduced aesthetics creates an authentic sense of well-being. The Project consists of three monolithic volumes, following the original structure of the house before reconstruction. While respecting local context and its surroundings, the strong architectural identity of the Hotel follows a contemporary reinterpretation of the alpine style and plays with vernacular elements such as the typical sloped roof.
Lo stile alpino con un'estetica ridotta crea un autentico senso di benessere. Il Progetto si compone di tre volumi monolitici, seguendo la struttura originaria dell’edificio prima della ricostruzione. Nel rispetto del contesto locale, la marcata identità architettonica dell'Hotel riflette una rivisitazione contemporanea dello stile alpino e gioca con elementi vernacolari come il tipico tetto spiovente.
La façade est caractérisée par un exosquelette qui change en fonction de l'orientation et du programme. Au nord / est, là où les couloirs sont principalement répartis, la structure presque sculpturale est moins profonde. Au sud, la géométrie effilée a plus de profondeur et crée des loggias avec un ombrage naturel. Les intérieurs simples et fonctionnels sont caractérisés par des matériaux locaux tels que le bois de châtaignier, les pierres et les tissus locaux.
The expressive exoskeleton facade changes according to orientation and program. At the north/east facade, with mostly corridors and public spaces, the almost sculptural structure is less depth. At the south facade the tapered geometry has more depth and creates loggias with natural shading. The bright grey color of the chalk containing render of the facade is inspired by the rocks of the surrounding mountains. Simple and functional interiors with open layouts are combined with local materials such as chestnut wood or local Stones and textiles.
La facciata è caratterizzata da un esoscheletro che cambia a seconda dell'orientamento e del programma. A nord / est, dove sono distribuiti principalmente i corridoi, la struttura quasi scultorea è meno profonda. A sud la geometria rastremata ha maggiore profondità e crea logge con ombreggiatura naturale. Gli interni semplici e funzionali sono caratterizzati da materiali locali come il legno di castagno, pietre e tessuti locali.
Les chambres et suites sont situées aux étages supérieurs et se caractérisent par un design intemporel qui évoque une atmosphère accueillante.
The rooms and suites are located in the above levels and are characterized by timeless design that evokes a cosy atmosphere.
