L'hôtel est situé à Maranza, un village de tradition agricole du Tyrol du Sud, Italie. Les prairies et les champs entourent la montagne du petit village alpin, juste au-dessus du Val Pusteria, une destination touristique renommée pour ses magnifiques sentiers de randonnée.
The hotel is located in Maranza, a village with an agricultural tradition in the Italian region of South Tyrol. Meadows and fields surround the well-shaped mountain of the small Alpine village, just above Puster Valley, a tourist destination well known for its marvellous hiking routes.
L'hotel si trova a Maranza, villaggio di tradizione agricola dell’Alto Adige. Prati e campi circondano la montagna del piccolo villaggio alpino, appena sopra la Val Pusteria, meta turistica nota per i suoi meravigliosi percorsi escursionistici.
La nouvelle structure hôtelière est fragmentée en quatre volumes décalés qui atténuent la volumétrie de l’ensemble tout en respectant l'échelle des bâtiments environnants. La composition s'inspire de l'architecture vernaculaire de la région et de la grange classique en bois, revisitée avec un registre contemporain. L'exosquelette de la façade fait référence à la fourche typique utilisée par les agriculteurs locaux.
The new hotel structure is fragmented into four shifted volumes to break down the scale of the entire structure while at the same time respecting the scale of the surrounding buildings. The composition is inspired by the vernacular architecture of the region and the classic wooden barn reinventing a contemporary reinterpretation of this typology. The curved shape of the exoskeleton façade is inspired by the pitchfork used by local farmers.
La nuova struttura alberghiera è frammentata in quattro volumi sfalsati che attenuano l’intera volumetria nel rispetto della scala degli edifici circostanti. La composizione si ispira all'architettura vernacolare della regione e al classico fienile in legno rivisitato con un registro contemporaneo. L’esoscheletro della facciata fa riferimento al tipico forcone utilizzato dai contadini locali.
Les intérieurs sont simples et fonctionnels, un style alpin intemporel. Le bois de frêne se combine avec les tissus verts typiques de loden, ajoutant une touche de couleur qui donne une continuité à la palette de couleurs du paysage naturel. Le bois est le protagoniste principal du projet, dans une version noircie à l'extérieur et naturelle à l'intérieur.
The interiors are simple and functional, a timeless Alpine style. Ash wood is combined with typical green loden textiles, adding a dash of colour giving continuity to the natural palette of the surrounding landscape. Wood is the main protagonist of the project, both outside and inside, creating contrast with the exterior blackened wood and the interior lightwood.
Gli interni sono semplici e funzionali, uno stile alpino senza tempo. Il legno di frassino si combina con i tipici tessuti in loden verde, aggiungendo un tocco di colore che dà continuità alle gradazioni cromatiche del paesaggio naturale. Il legno è il protagonista principale del progetto, in versione annerita all’esterno, e naturale all’interno.
