Le collectionneur belge Hubert Bonnet vient d’ouvrir à Saint-Paul de Vence l’antenne française de la Fondation CAB, fondée en 2012 à Bruxelles.
The Belgian art collector, Hubert Bonnet, has just opened (in Saint-Paul de Vence) the French branch of the CAV Foundation founded in Brussels in 2012.

La nouvelle fondation, dédiée à l’art minimal et conceptuel, est installée dans un magnifique bâtiment année 50 entièrement rénovée par Charles Zana et comprend, au delà des espaces d’exposition, une librairie-bibliothèque, un restaurant, quatre chambres d’hôtes ainsi qu’une maison démontable de Jean Prouvé et une œuvre in-situ de Felice Varini.
The new foundation, devoted to minimalist and conceptual art, is based in a beautiful 1950s’ building that has been completely renovated by Charles Zana. As well as the exhibition spaces, the new foundation accommodates a library-bookshop, restaurant, four suites, a Maison démontable designed by Jean Prouvé, and an on-site work by Felice Varini.
La nuova fondazione, dedicata all'arte minimale e concettuale, ha sede in un bell’edificio degli anni '50, completamente ristrutturato da Charles Zana. Oltre agli spazi espositivi, la nuova fondazione ospita una libreria-biblioteca, un ristorante, quattro suite oltre a una Maison démontable di Jean Prouvé e a un'opera in situ di Felice Varini.
L’architecture du XXème siècle est évoquée dans chaque résidence à travers des meubles et des luminaires d’Alvar Aalto, d’Angelo Lelli, de Jean Prouvé, de Pierre Jeanneret ou encore de Max Ingrand. La Fondation CAB Saint-Paul-de-Vence ambitionne de devenir un acteur majeur dans le circuit d’art moderne et contemporain de la région parallèlement à la Fondation Venet, le Domaine du Muy, la Commanderie de Peyrassol, le Château La Coste, la Villa Noailles, ou encore la Fondation Carmignac.
Surrounded by a lush garden with magnificent views over the Cap d’Antibes peninsula, the Fondation also operates as a guest house, with four distinct bedrooms and a Maison Démontable 6×6 by Jean Prouvé. Each room celebrates the international architects of the last century through furniture and lighting by Alvar Aalto, Angelo Lelli, Jean Prouvé, Pierre Jeanneret, Max Ingrand and Hans J. Wegner. Just like the Fondation Venet, Domaine du Muy, Commanderie de Peyrassol, Château La Coste, villa Noailles and Fondation Carmignac, the CAB Foundation will inject fresh energy into modern and contemporary art in the region.
L'architettura del XX secolo è evocata in ogni residenza attraverso i mobili e l'illuminazione di Alvar Aalto, Angelo Lelli, Jean Prouvé, Pierre Jeanneret o Max Ingrand. Come la Fondation Venet, il Domaine du Muy, la Commanderie de Peyrassol, Château La Coste, villa Noailles o la Fondation Carmignac, anche la Fondation CAB svolgerà un ruolo catalizzatore nel circuito dell'arte moderna e contemporanea della regione.
