À l'occasion de la 59e Biennale de Venise, la Scuola Grande San Giovanni Evangelista accueille une importante exposition personnelle de l'artiste suisse Ugo Rondinone, intitulée “burn shine fly”. Organisée par Javier Molins, cette exposition présente dans les murs historiques de l'une des plus anciennes et des plus importantes "Scuole" de Venise, des œuvres emblématiques de Rondinone ainsi qu'un nouveau corpus d'œuvres créé spécifiquement pour cette exposition.

 

On the occasion of the 59th La Biennale di Venezia, the Scuola Grande San Giovanni Evangelista hosts a major solo exhibition of work by Swiss artist Ugo Rondinone, entitled “burn shine fly”. Curated by Javier Molins, burn shine fly will be installed within the historic walls of one of the oldest and most important Scuole in Venice, with both iconic works by Rondinone as well as a new body of work created specifically for this exhibition.

 

In occasione della 59a Biennale di Venezia, la Scuola Grande San Giovanni Evangelista ospita una grande mostra personale dell'artista svizzero Ugo Rondinone, dal titolo “burn shine fly”. Curata da Javier Molins, la mostra presenta opere iconiche dell’artista e un nuovo corpus di sculture creato per questa occasione.

 

 

"Les sculptures de 'burn shine fly' visent à engendrer une version tout à fait contemporaine du sublime, dans laquelle la plus petite sculpture de bougie n'a pas moins d'importance que la totalité globale de la sculpture du soleil ou le mariage stellaire du corps terrestre avec le ciel rempli d'eau. L'œuvre doit nous éblouir et nous plonger dans une profonde réflexion sur les merveilles et les mystères de la vie." - Ugo Rondinone

 

“The sculptures in ‘burn shine fly’ aims to engender an altogether contemporary version of the sublime, one in which the smallest candle sculpture is of no less consequence than the overarching totality of the sun sculpture or the stellar marriage of the earthbound body with the waterfilled sky. ‘Le sculture in ‘burn shine fly’ che mirano a generare una versione del tutto contemporanea del sublime, in cui la più piccola scultura di candela non ha meno importanza della totalità generale della scultura del sole o del matrimonio stellare del corpo terreste con il cielo pieno d’acqua,’ osserva Ugo Rondinone. “L’opera dovrebbe abbagliarci e spingerci in una profonda riflessione sulle meraviglie e sui misteri della vita”.
