Dans les espaces de l'Arsenal de Venise, le pavillon saoudien présente “Accommodations”, une exposition expérimentale qui trouve ses racines dans la recherche d'archives. 

 

Hosted at the Arsenal in Venice, the Saudi Arabia Pavilion presents “Accommodations”, an experimental exhibition whose roots lie in archive research. 

 

Ospitato all’Arsenale di Venezia, Il Padiglione dell’Arabia Saudita presenta “Accommodations”, una mostra sperimentale che affonda le radici nella ricerca di archivio.

Réfléchissant sur le thème de cette année “How Will We Live Together?”, à travers le prisme de la quarantaine, l'exposition analyse la transformation des espaces  en réponse à des contextes extérieurs différents. 

 

Reflecting on this year’s theme “How Will We Live Together?” viewed from the perspective of quarantine, the exhibition explores the evolution of enclosures in response to external contexts. 

 

Riflettendo sul tema di quest’anno di “How Will We Live Together?”, visto attraverso la lente della quarantena, la mostra indaga il modo in cui gli involucri spaziali si evolvono in risposta ai contesti esterni.

“Le pavillon national saoudien vise à stimuler une meilleure connaissance des tensions entre les actions de séparation, inhérentes à la quarantaine, et celles d'adaptation, nécessaires pour continuer à vivre” expliquent les conservateurs Uzma Z. Rizvi et Murtaza Vali, accompagnés par Hussam Dakkak, Basmah Kaki et Hessa AlBader, une nouvelle génération d'architectes choisie pour représenter l'Arabie Saoudite.

 

“The Saudi National Pavilion aims to provide a greater understanding of the tensions between the acts of separation inherent in quarantine and the acts of accommodation required to keep on living”, according to Uzma Z. Rizvi and Murtaza Vali, who are curating the exhibition in partnership with Hussam Dakkak, Basmah Kaki and Hessa AlBader, a new generation of architects chosen to represent Saudi Arabia.

 

“Il Padiglione Nazionale Saudita ha l’intento di stimolare una maggiore conoscenza delle tensioni tra le azioni di separazione, insite nella quarantena, e quelle di adattamento, necessarie per continuare a vivere” spiegano i curatori Uzma Z. Rizvi e Murtaza Vali, affiancati da Hussam Dakkak, Basmah Kaki e Hessa AlBader, una nuova generazione di architetti scelti per rappresentare l’Arabia Saudita.
