2026 CLAUDE PARENT PRIZE
The Claude Parent Archives association has launched the opening of applications for the second
edition of the Claude Parent Prize 2026, placed this year under the honorary
presidency of Jean Nouvel. Inspired
by Claude Parent's constant will to question architecture in its foundations, to
research and experiment with an alternative architectural scenario, this
biennial international prize aims to reward active architects whose work opens
new fields for this discipline, following in the footsteps of the architect of
the Oblique and in the spirit of innovation and imagination he championed.
Supported by the Ministry of Culture and Kaufman Broad, this prize brought together an exceptional jury composed of leading figures in the global architectural scene. March 31, 2026, 11:59 p.m., Paris time: Closing date for applications
The winner will be announced on June 15, 2026, at an
awards ceremony held at the Avicenne Foundation, an iconic building erected in
1969 by Claude Parent and André Bloc, a listed historical monument, and
reopened at the end of 2024 after a complete renovation. A trophy specially and
exclusively designed by conceptual artist Loris Gréaud will be presented to the
winner at this event.
